Olay Moisturising Lotion Review

[disclosure]

Olay Moisturising Lotion is my first product I purchased and use from Olay’s brand. I know there a lot of Olay product ranges from 20s to 50s, from oily to dry skin types, from combination to normal skin types. Honestly, to use any of Olay products never crossed my mind before. Whenever I came to the drugstore, I have no interest towards Olay. Not a little bit.

If you ask me why, first because I thought Olay only for mature woman like 30s and 50s. Second is because of their price tag. For me, their price range is quite high although my mom kept saying that Olay is not that expensive.

During Guardian All Cosmetic Brands 50% which started from 22 to 26 May 2019, for the very first time, I purchased my first moisturizer from Olay brand. That not means this is first time I purchased a moisturizer. I used some moisturizer from another brands before, and then I decided to tries moisturizer from Olay. To see whether it suits for me or not.

So here my review of Olay Moisturising Lotion.

What is this : A lightweight moisturizer with a lotion texture.

Price : RM 41.50

Volume : 150 ml

Brand : Olay

Made in : Thailand

Where to purchase : P&G Store on Shopee

Product description :

This lotion is formulated with ingredients to help improve and maintain youthful looking skin.

With Coconut & Castor Seed Oil , its formula:
– Is designed to be light, non-greasy and quickly absorbed into skin.
– Quickly replenishes essential moisture.

Results: OLAY moisturising lotion has been shown to:
– Significantly boost skin hydration.
– Leave skin soft and smooth.

Good for : People with normal, combination skin types. For oily skin types, I’m scared it’ll be quite greasy for you, but since this is moisturiser with a lotion type, which is lighter than the usual cream types, maybe it’ll be fine. Anything is depends on your skin. For sensitive skin types, you should check the ingredients that’s can make your skin worse first before purchase. For dry skin, maybe this moisturizer will be not moisturizing enough for your skin or maybe yes. Again, depends on your skin.

Key ingredients :

Full Ingredients : water, glycerin, sorbitan stearate, dimethicone, mineral oil, petrolatum, cetyl ricinoleate, dimethiconol, cetyl alcohol, sucrose cocoate, phenoxyethanol, methylparaben, glyceryl hydroxystearate, fragrance, steareth-100, disodium edta, sodium hydroxide, propylparaben, carbomer, acrylates/c10-30 alkyl acrylate crosspolymer, stearic acid, palmitic acid, ci 17200

Packaging :

Texture :

Direction of use : Smooth evenly over your entire cleansed face and neck morning and night.

How I use this :

Fragrance Irritation Sting the eyes Good under makeup

How long I have been using this : I bought this on 25 May and now it’s July so that’s mean I used it almost two months

Effects : For me, I noticed that my T-zone is less oily than before. There are not brightening effect or what not because Olay Moisturising Lotion for me is just a basic moisturizer without adding any special ingredient for special needs.

But I love it when my skin got smoother day by day when using this moisturizer during AM and PM routine. For you want brightening effect, I’m sorry but using this moisturizer alone is not help, you might want to add any brightening serum or essence in your skincare routine.

What I like :

  • Their simple packaging
  • Mild fragrance
  • Fast absorb to the skin

What I don’t like :

  • Nothing so far

Final rating and conclusion :

4.5 stars

Would I repurchased : Yup especially when there’s Guardian All Skincare Brands 40% or 50% because I can get it cheaper from the regular price.
