The Sunday Currently – 7 September 2025

Posted on Sep 7, 2025 in Lifestyle

Sundays always feel like a pause button, not quite the end, not quite the beginning. Today was one of those days that reminded me how the simplest things can be the most grounding. An afternoon by the pool (I stayed dry, of course 😆), followed by a cozy dinner at KB Western Box with a plate of spaghetti carbonara, was enough to make this Sunday memorable.

Here’s how it all unfolded:

Reading: Not really a book today, more like bits and pieces online. Sometimes, light reading is exactly what I need to keep my mind calm without feeling overloaded.

Writing: This blog entry. I didn’t plan to write much tonight, but I like the idea of capturing the day in words before it slips away. It feels like tying a ribbon around a small memory.

Listening: The quiet hum of the night. Earlier, it was filled with the sound of splashing water and children’s laughter at the pool. That kind of joy is contagious, even if I didn’t jump in, it made the afternoon brighter.

Thinking: How simple moments can stay with us longer than big events. Just a swim outing in the afternoon, then a dinner at KB Western Box. Yet it feels like today had a complete story of its own.

Smelling: Creamy carbonara. Rich, cheesy, and comforting. It wasn’t the most glamorous dinner, but honestly? It hit the spot.

Wishing: For more weekends like this, where there’s no rush, no pressure, just a chance to be present and enjoy.

Hoping: That I’ll continue to find peace in small routines and gatherings. Sometimes I forget that happiness doesn’t have to be loud or complicated.

Wearing: My usual comfy clothes, nothing fancy, just casual enough for an easy Sunday. (Definitely not a swim outfit! 😆)

Loving: The sense of balance today gave me. A mix of family, food, and little joys. It wasn’t perfect, but it felt enough.

Wanting: Maybe dessert after that pasta. A slice of cake would’ve been nice, but tea at home sounds just as good.

Needing: Rest. After sun, chatter, and food, my body is telling me it’s time to slow down.

Feeling: Content, like I squeezed just the right amount out of this Sunday. A little tired, but in the best way possible.

Clicking: Social media feeds, though I keep reminding myself not to get stuck there too long.

And that’s how this Sunday wraps up, a blend of sunshine, laughter, and carbonara. Sometimes, life feels best when it’s not overloaded with plans. Just people, food, and little stories to carry into the week ahead. Here’s to the next Sunday, whatever it brings.
